I think I will pull out some SNES carts and play them. Super Mario Land is one I might play. I'm starting to miss my GBA, I sold it in desperate need for cash a while back. Sniff sniff. I don't even like handheld gaming, but when you don't have it, you start to miss it.

I never played it on the NES, so unfortunately I can't compare the two. But just as a stand-alone game, it's pretty sweet. It's 3-D done WELL. It uses a fixed camera angle (like Eternal Darkness) which occasionally gets annoying, but not too often.

You have 3 different Diskarmors that can be used as a shield, a weapon (there are some awesome combo attacks) and as a grappling hook to reach higher places and swing across chasms.

You can also destroy a lot of the surrounding buildings & stuff. It's fun to go on destructive rampages and watch everything come crashing down around me Playstation, Playstation 2, XBOX, Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, PC, Games, Cheats, Previews, Strategies, FAQS

Having plyed it on the NES and PS2, the game is definitely a nice update. It doesn't feel quite as epic, and much more linear. The soundtrack is INCREDIBLE (recorded by the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra) and the graphics are clean and sharp. It's really nifty.
