Secrets and Unlocks
Hidden Tomes: Each mission has 3 hidden tomes. Picking them up increases loot chest quality at the end of missions.
Hidden Grimoires: Each mission has 2 hidden grimoires. They increase loot quality but permanently reduce your party’s max health until the mission ends.
Tower of Treachery DLC Codes: Enter 1532 in the lever room to open a hidden passage. Later, use 3421 to unlock a tomb in the boss arena.
Hero Leveling: Each hero has 3 careers (classes). You unlock new talents every 5 levels up to level 30.
Hero Power Unlocks: The higher your gear power and level, the more difficult missions you can play and the better loot you receive.
Veteran (Red) Gear: Rare red weapons unlock at high difficulties (Champion and above). They have max power and unique looks.
Portrait Frames: Earned by completing special challenges, seasonal events, and high-end missions. These are cosmetic unlocks for your profile.
Tips and Tricks
Collecting all tomes and grimoires in a mission gives the highest loot chest quality possible without using DLC.
Carrying a tome takes up your healing slot, and carrying a grimoire permanently reduces your team’s health. Balance risk vs reward.
Each character plays very differently across careers. For example, Bardin can be Ironbreaker (tank), Slayer (melee damage), or Ranger Veteran (ranged). Level up each career to unlock their full weapon options.
Higher difficulty levels (Recruit, Veteran, Champion, Legend, Cataclysm) increase loot quality and drop chances. Playing Champion or above is required for the best rewards.
Daily and Weekly Quests at the Keep reward extra loot boxes and crafting materials.
Salvage unwanted gear at the Forge to gain crafting supplies for rerolling weapon properties or making new items.
Loot chests from mission completion scale with difficulty and hidden item collection (tomes, grimoires).
