Robsgaming faster

Lately there has been some problems with RobsGaming running a bit slow. VERY SLOW to say the least. I have cleared up some of the problem with the way our database logs stats. There is still a lot to do. I still think possibly a complete overhaul will fix things around here big time. I haven't had a lot of time to put into robsgaming but still feel obligated to stay active and keep the site up to date. Things are still cookin', I just need to get hot on them. If you guys have any feedback, always feel free to let me know.
Thanks again and I look forward to your ongoing support! We're going on 6 years!
There are still problems with the discussion boards and other areas running slow - I just need to optimize the site a little more and I think things will be rolling again.

i'm still here, updates on the new site

Hey guys, Rob here... I do apologize for not making myself known around here lately. As stated before, I'm very very busy with my company here in town but I am working to devote more time to RobsGaming. Just letting everybody out there know the new design is on the server and is being tested as we speak. Basically what's going to happen when we officially launch is robsgaming.com will look exactly the same. We are going to run the new design/site on a subdomain -maybe beta.robsgaming.com or something like that - for at least a year and eventually wipe out the robsgaming.com you see now. There are still hundreds of users familar with the design we have now and I don't want it to be here one day gone tomorrow. I will leave the new.robsgaming.com online for testing and user input - once everything is a go, we'll move it over to the normal robsgaming.com.
Keep in touch. Great things are in store for robsgaming! We've been here since 1999 and are still going strong! Thanks!

new design in the works; need your input

Hello everybody. Just wanted to drop a note and let you all know the current site is back on our local testing server and we are getting ready to start working on a new design.
Before I even dare begin, I want to get input from all of you. What would you like to see? What features would make you come back every day? What type of interaction do you want? What improvements on the features now need to be made? What about a super-customizable site?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post your ideas ASAP. The sooner I start collecting ideas, the sooner the new site will be out. Remember, RobsGaming.com is YOUR, yes YOUR, video game site. I want to make the new design like none other... and actually try to get back in the swing of making DAILY updates. Please do not post any ideas however that may be considered illegal such as emulation, warez, mp3s, etc. Ideas must ONLY be realted to video games. To post your ideas, just reply to this topic.
Again, post your ideas and invite others to the site that are into games to post their ideas. I will compile a list of them, meet with some of our dedicated volunteers, and start working on the new site. I would like ideas about the design, logo, and colors as well. If you have any ideas on a design and would like to make up a quick one for me to possibly use, please just let me know in a reply to this message and we'll set up some way to contact each other.
I'm setting a goal to get everything going and have the new site up and functional by May 2005.
